BRIAN JOHNSON ELECTED JUDGE OF THE KNOX SUPERIOR COURT 2

Brian Johnson, a member of the firm for ten years, has been elected as judge of the Knox Superior Court 2.  The firm congratulates Brian and gives him its best wishes.  Brian will be an excellent judge based on his experience with the firm.

Uniform Directed Trust Act

    Effective July 1, 2019, Indiana adopted the Uniform Directed Trust Act (UDTA).  The UDTA addresses issues raised about duties and liabilities when more than one person is given power to manage or distribute trust assets, click here.

Indiana Legacy Trusts

     Effective July 1, 2019, Indiana allows a self settled spendthrift trust that provides protection to qualified dispositions from most claims of creditors.  This is true even if distributions may be made to the transferor.  The Indiana Legacy Trust is a domestic asset protection trust.  For more information, click here.
